Leonardo DiCaprio and his girlfriend Camila Morrone, have parted ways after five years together.
The 47-year-old Titanic actor was first romantically linked to the 25-year-old model in 2018 while at a New Year’s Eve party and they made their red carpet debut at the 2020 Academy Awards.
The Hollywood A-lister apparently grew apart from Camila, over the summer and they have gone their separate ways amicably.
DiCaprio has become notorious for not dating women older than 25, despite ageing into his late forties himself.
So much so that fans made jokes about DiCaprio ending his relationship with Morrone after she turned 25 this year.
DiCaprio hasn’t previously publicly dated a woman over that age.
When he dated Gisele Bundchen and Bar Refaeli, as well as actress Blake Lively, none of them was over the age of 25 when they were together.
DiCaprio dated Gisele Bundchen for five years until 2005, when she turned 25.
He then turned his attentions to Bar Refaeli, dating her for the same length of time as Gisele, until their relationship came to an end in 2009, when she was 25.
DiCaprio’s relationship with Blake Lively lasted just five months, with them splitting while she was still 23.
Model Erin Heatherton was his next girlfriend, with them finishing when she was 22.
He then moved on to actress Toni Garrn, who he dated for a year, before they came to an end while she was 21.
In 2016, Leo dated Kelly Rohrbach but they finished when she turned 25 before he moved on to Danish model Nina Agdal, with their relationship also coming to an end when she hit 25.
Before their reported split, Camila hit back when questioned about the couple’s 22-year age gap after years of being trolled.
“There are so many relationships in Hollywood, and in the history of the world, where people have large age gaps,” she said.
“I just think anyone should be able to date who they want to date.”
Now that the break-up has been reported, people have taken to Twitter to comment on DiCaprio’s dating “phenomenon” that seems destined to repeat itself.
“There is no phenomenon on this planet more reliable than Leonardo DiCaprio breaking up with his girl by age 25, the stats are breathtaking,” one user wrote.
A Twitter user, Sarah Lerner shared a graph of DiCaprio’s love interests from 1999 until now.
She wrote: “This Leonardo DiCaprio graph where he continues to get older and his girlfriends never age above 25 lives rent-free in my head.”
Rebecca Jules also said: “What if Leonardo DiCaprio is a reverse vampire? An eternally early-20s mind and soul, trapped in a decaying, mortal body. Ever watchful of his girlfriends getting to an age where they start to say, “but we went Out-Out last Saturday, can’t we just go Out this weekend.”
Arngrim: “At 29 he kind of “peaked’ at low age difference. Then after 30, the girlfriends all just kept getting younger ….and younger…”
Another tweep, John Kil also said, “He is an adult and they are adults, no one talks about maybe it possibly Leo that’s being taking advantage off with people using his status/power to propel their own?”
