Madagascar Police killed 19 people and injured 21 when they opened fire on a crowd attempting to storm a police station to seek revenge against suspected criminals. The state police command spokesperson, Muhammad Shehu, said the victims were abducted from Rungawa village in Talata Mafara Local Government Area. They were held at the camp of a notorious bandit leader, Bello Maibille, in Dajin Kare-kukanka. They cited whistleblower testimony by the platform’s former security chief as a “distinct” justification for scrapping the deal. United Nations Humanitarian Chief, Martin Griffiths, on Monday issued a warning that six million Afghans are at risk of famine as the country continues to face extreme hardship and uncertainty under the Taliban leadership. “Poverty is deepening, the population is still growing, and the de facto authorities have no budget to invest in their own future,” Griffiths said.
