IBADAN, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA)- The Federal Road State Corps (FRSC) said a fallen truck has blocked the highway, causing traffic gridlock on Tuesday morning.

The truck crashed on the Ososa bridge, along the Sagamu/Ijebu-Ode expressway, Ogun State.

The entire section of the road is affected, according to the FRSC spokesperson in Ogun, Florence Okpe.

While urging motorists to cooperate with traffic managers handling the situation, Okpe warned them to drive cautiously.

“This is to inform the motoring public on the traffic situation along Sagamu – Ijebu-Ode expressway on Ososa bridge.

“The situation is as a result of the crash that occurred this morning, involving a truck that crashed and block the entire section of the expressway. The outward section of the expressway is also effected.

“FRSC operatives are fully on ground managing the traffic situation.

“Effort is ongoing to remove the obstruction from the road for free flow of traffic.

“Motorists are advised to drive cautiously and cooperate with traffic managers managing the situation,” Okpe said in a statement.
