The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, is investigating an alleged laundering of N4billion, by a former Governor of Ekiti State, Kayode Fayemi. According to The Punch, Fayemi is currently being interrogated at the zonal command office in Ilorin, Kwara State. Zamfara State Governor, Dauda Lawal, has accused his predecessor, Bello Muhammad Matawalle, of looting government properties. A female suspect detained by the Police for allegedly operating a baby factory in Akudo Azoroh region, Rivers State, has admitted to selling them for N1.4 to N1.5 million depending on their gender. Security agents had raided a child trafficking facility in Aluu, Ikwerre Local Government Area, in the state, and had rescued six young pregnant women. The 20 to 23-year-old women who were rescued were camping with the idea of trading their newborn children after they gave birth to them.
