A Benue State High Court in Makurdi, on Friday, affirmed the suspension and removal of Iyorchia Ayu as the National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP). This comes after Ayu lost membership of the party in his Igyorov Council Ward of Gboko Local Government Area of the State. A member of the PDP in Benue State, Conrad Terhide Utaan, dragged Ayu to court following his suspension by his Igyorov ward executive committee after passing a vote of no confidence on him. The leader of the disbanded Oyo State Parks Management System, Mukaila Lamidi popularly called Auxiliary, has been wanted by the State Police. The House of Representatives Committee on Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring has approved the disbursement of $700m from the Cabotage Vessel Finance Fund for the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency. The House had on 2 May, 2023, asked the NIMASA to stop its plan to disburse the sum from the Fund. The Central Bank of Nigeria has disclosed that the country’s Composite Purchasing Managers’ Index rose to 51.1 index points in April 2023 from 42.6 index points in March 2023.
