A bloody clash between two rival cult groups in the ancient town of Owo in Ondo State, has reportedly led to the death of three persons. No fewer than ten others were seriously injured during the clash which occurred at about 9 pm on Tuesday. The cause of the clash remained unknown as at press time. Former Governor of Osun State, and and candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2022 election, Gboyega Oyetola, has accepted the verdict of the Supreme Court which upheld the election of Ademola Adeleke of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) as the State Governor. No fewer than 16 persons have lost their lives and property estimated at several millions of naira have been destroyed while thousands have deserted their homes in a bloody supremacy clash between two rival cult groups in Uyo. President Muhammadu Buhari has reacted to the Supreme Court’s verdict, which upheld the election of Ademola Adeleke as the Governor of Osun. The President on Tuesday, in Abuja, called for inclusion and harmony in Osun State following the verdict.
