Justice Inyang Ekwo of the Federal High Court in Abuja has ordered the suspension of the Chief Executive Officer of Seplat Energy, Roger Brown, pending the determination of motion on notice filed by three shareholders of the company. The aggrieved shareholders, Juliet Gbaka, Margaret Funmilayo, and Clement Akaeme, had in suit number FHC/ABJ/CS/626/23 sought an order compelling the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) to appoint suitable persons to run the affairs of the company, among other demands. Some traders on Thursday, attacked operatives of Ekiti State Amotekun Corps at the Atikankan area of Ado Ekiti, the Ekiti State capital. The traders injured no fewer than four persons believed to include members of the security agency. A Magistrate Court in Ilorin, Kwara State capital has remanded Dr. Joseph Ayodele, the Chief Medical Director of Ayodele Hospital, in prison for allegedly raping a patient who came for treatment in his hospital. Security operatives reportedly repelled bandits attack on Plateau State University (PLASU) female campus, according to reports. The school authority said the gunmen invaded the female hostel of the institution in Bokkos on Tuesday night but there was no abduction.
