ENUGU, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA)- Officials from the Lagos Environmental Sanitation Corps have detained eight individuals for constructing a shrine on a major road in Egbe, Ikotun area.
According to the state’s Commissioner for Environment and Water Resources, Tokunbo Wahab, the individuals were also discovered with charms and amulets, leading to the demolition of the shrine.

Wahab, disclosed this in a post on his X handle on Saturday.
He wrote, “Eight people were arrested for constructing a shrine on the main road at Egbe, Ikotun.
“They were arrested with charms and amulets, and the building has been demolished.”
