ENUGU, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA)- The Lagos Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Benjamin Hundeyin, announced the successful rescue of children who had been locked up in a room for several days by their grandmother.
The children were freed by police officers from Ikotun Division and are now in safe hands.
This was disclosed in a post via Hundeyin’s X handle on Friday, April 19, 2024.
Meanwhile, the grandmother is in police custody as investigations continue into the matter.

He said the rescue was made possible thanks to vigilant neighbors who alerted the police about the situation.
Hundeyin emphasized the importance of community involvement, stating, “See something, say something!”
He wrote: “All thanks to vigilant neighbours who alerted the police, these children were rescued by police officers from Ikotun Division after being locked up in a room for days by their grandmother.
“The children are now in safe hands while their grandmother is in police custody. Investigation is ongoing.
“See something, say something!”
