LAGOS,Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA)- As Easter approaches, many Nigerian families are facing financial strain, unable to celebrate the holiday as they normally would.
Traditionally a time for sharing and caring, Easter festivities involve feasting and outings, however, the current economic climate has made it challenging for families to enjoy the season as prices of goods and services have skyrocketed driven by the weakened naira.

Despite efforts by the Central Bank of Nigeria to stabilise the naira, including providing dollars to Bureau De Change operators, prices remain high.
Punch reports that the increase in commodity prices has been linked to the exchange rate between the naira and the dollar.
