She underscored the need for a shift in approach to achieve the government’s objective of fostering inclusivity in society, where individuals regardless of disability status can thrive.
She urged PWDs to serve as ambassadors of LASODA by raising awareness within their respective communities, groups, and places of worship, and also stressed the importance of collaboration among stakeholders in reporting cases of abuse or concerns to LASODA for necessary action, emphasising that the agency cannot address all issues alone.
The call for collaboration underscores LASODA’s commitment to promoting the welfare and rights of PWDs in Lagos State. As stakeholders unite to address challenges and advocate for inclusivity, the initiative aims to create a more supportive and inclusive environment for individuals with disabilities across the state.
