LAGOS Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA) – In a bid to combat terrorism and enhance security operations in Katsina State, the police have announced a N50 million reward for anyone with crucial information leading to the arrest of two notorious terrorists operating in the state.
The identified terrorists, Usman Modi Modi and Jan Kare, have been notorious figures in Katsina, particularly around the Kankara and Safana local government areas.
Katsina State, like many others in Nigeria, has been combating the menace of terrorism, commonly referred to as banditry.
Abubakar-Sadik Aliyu, the spokesperson for the police command, highlighted that the decision to place the bounty underscores the commitment of law enforcement agencies to ensuring justice and combating criminal activities.
He emphasiszed that security is a collective responsibility, urging communities to contribute by providing vital information.
Recent attacks on communities in Batsari, Kurfi, Kankara, Bakori, and Faskari have further heightened concerns over security in the state. Last Sunday, Monday, and Thursday, the community of Wurma in Kurfi LGA experienced repeated attacks, prompting residents to stage protests and block major highways in the region.
