ENUGU, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA)- Residents of the Federal Capital Territory have reportedly raided and looted a warehouse belonging to the National Emergency Management Agency of Nigeria in light of the current economic hardships facing the country.
According to SaharaReporters, the warehouse was raided on Sunday morning in Karimo, Phase 3 Region of FCT, Abuja.

The residents reportedly stole foodstuffs and other items from the warehouse.
In response to the incident, the Nigeria Police Force in Abuja has deployed personnel to the area to disperse the looters and secure the building.
The FCT Police Command spokesperson, Josephine Adeh, confirmed the incident, stating that the situation has now been brought under control.
“The situation is now under control,” she said.
The looting comes amidst widespread grievances over hardship resulting from the removal of fuel subsidy and the devaluation of the naira following its floatation by President Bola Tinubu’s administration.
