ENUGU, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA)- The University of East Anglia in the United Kingdom is extending an invitation to interested Nigerians to apply for the Allan and Nesta Ferguson Scholarship, valued at £30,357.
As detailed on the university’s website, the scholarship comprises a tuition waiver of £21,200 (equivalent to ₦24.2 million) and a stipend of £9,157 (approximately ₦10.4 million). The application deadline for this scholarship opportunity is 19 April.
Nigeria is among the eligible countries listed for this scholarship, reflecting a new opportunity for Nigerian students aspiring to study abroad at the University of East Anglia.
The scholarship is limited to three recipients for the 2024 edition, and prospective applicants are required to submit their applications by the specified deadline.

It is specifically tailored for postgraduate students intending to pursue studies in the UK in 2024. The selected scholars will have their visa and living expenses covered.

The university provided information on its website, stating, “The Allan and Nesta Ferguson Scholarships are available to international students who have applied to study a full-time one-year Master’s course in the School of Global Development at UEA.
“Each scholarship will fund the student’s international tuition fees and provide them with a maintenance grant of £9,157, allowing them to live in the UK and cover the costs of living, travel, and visa.
“This scholarship will be awarded on the basis of financial need to applicants from any of the listed countries. To be considered for this scholarship, you will need to apply by submitting an application form by 19 April 2024.”
