LAGOS Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA)-Famous Veteran Fuji musician, Alhaji Abdulrasaq Kolawole Ilori aka Kollington Ayinla, is reportedly undergoing medical treatment in a hospital due to an undisclosed illness.
The iconic musician has allegedly been experiencing health issues for days, which has led to his admission at Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH) in Ikeja, according to Sahara Reporters.
Ayinla’s condition has reportedly reached a point where he requires oxygen support to assist his breathing.

Although the family has opted to maintain confidentiality regarding his health, it is apparent that his condition is of significant concern.
Kollington Ayinla, born in August 1949 in Ilota, Kwara State, is renowned by various monikers such as Baba Alatika, Kebe-n-Kwara, and Baba Alagbado.
In collaboration with his late friend and competitor, Ayinde Barrister, Ayinla played a pivotal role in the widespread influence of Fuji music from the mid-1970s to the late 1980s, playing a significant part in the genre’s rise to popularity.
Tragically, Ayinde Barrister passed away on December 16, 2010, at St. Mary’s Hospital in London.
