OGUN, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA) – Medaiyese Emmanuel, a National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) member, has reportedly passed away in his apartment in the Sogbesan Street, Oluwo neighborhood of Abeokuta, Ogun State.
According to information gathered by Punch Sunday, the incident was confirmed when the deceased’s mother tried unsuccessfully to call Emmanuel on his cell phone.
When the deceased’s phone rang out after several attempts, the mother was said to have begun to look for someone who would help check up on Emmanuel at his apartment in Sogbesan.
An eyewitness who identified himself as Toyo noted that the mother phoned one of the corps member’s friends, identified simply as Olumide, about her inability to reach Emmanuel on the phone.

He was found lifeless on the floor of his room. There was no indication that any crime was committed when our men visited the scene.
“In the meantime, the corpse has been deposited at the state hospital for autopsy,” the POlice spokesperson told PUNCH Metro on Sunday.
