OGUN, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA)-The National Television Authority, which has acquired the exclusive broadcasting rights to the eagerly awaited Africa Cup of Nations competition, has declared that it will telecast every match.
On Wednesday, 10 January, 2024, the broadcasting organization made the announcement in a brief statement posted on its X handle.
This comes after Multichoice, the company that owns Super Sports and DSTV, lost out on obtaining the rights to the highly anticipated football extravaganza, unlike in years past.
“NTA signs memorandum of understanding with Afro sports for transmission of 52 matches of Africa Cup of Nations in Cot D’ivoire,” the statement reads.

This significant agreement guarantees that NTA will broadcast the entire continental football spectacle.
The premier international men’s association football competition in Africa is the Africa Cup of Nations, also referred to as the TotalEnergies AFCON or simply AFCON.
The vibrant football nation of Cote d’Ivoire will host the 34th AFCON, which is slated to start on Saturday, 13 January, 2024, and end on Sunday, 11 February, 2024.
