ENUGU, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA)- The Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN) reports that approximately 3,963 teachers did not pass the November 2023 diet of the Professional Qualifying Examination, despite instances of widespread cheating during the test.
TRCN registrar Josiah Ajiboye, in an interactive session with newsmen on Monday, reiterated the council’s commitment to enhancing the teaching profession in the country.

Out of the 15,753 teachers who participated in the examination across 38 centers nationwide, 10,636, or about 72.9 per cent, successfully passed.
“A total of 15,753 sat the examination in 38 Centres across the country, out of this, we have 10,636 that passed which is about 72.9 per cent and those that failed are 3,963,” Mr. Ajiboye revealed.
The registrar further revealed that some candidates were absent from the exam, while others engaged in examination malpractices, resulting in the cancellation of their results.
