ENUGU, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA)- The former national chairman of the New Nigeria Peoples Party, Rufa’i Alkali, has joined the ruling All Progressive Congress, (APC).
Twenty-five members of the party also defected along side with him to the ruling party.
The 26 chieftains of the NNPP were received by the APC national chairman, Abdullahi Ganduje, on Wednesday, into the party in Abuja.

The APC made this known in a post shared on its X handle on Wednesday, 1 November, 2023.
The tweet read, “The National Chairman, Dr Abdullahi Ganduje received into the APC, 26 chieftains of the New Nigeria People’s Party, including the immediate-past National Chairman of the party, Prof Rufa’i Alkali, and three governorship candidates”.
