ENUGU, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA) – Pastor Joe Ehigator, Pastor in Charge of Christ Embassy Church, Enugu 2, has called on the government and political leaders to organize free medical outreach, as there are people who are sick and are in the hospitals but cannot afford to take care of themselves.

The Cleric made the appeal during a two-day free medical outreach organized by the Inner City Mission for Children of Christ Embassy under the auspices of Chris Oyakhilome Foundation, in collaboration with the Eden Healing Foundation, over the weekend in Enugu.

In his own words, Pastor Joe Ehigator stated, “I want to use this opportunity to advise political leaders and those holding good parastatals, businessmen and women to come to this kind of aid for people. There are people who are sick; they are even in the hospital and can’t provide drugs for themselves. So, we got partners to be able to get drugs.”

Voiceofnaija.ng gathered that the purpose of the outreach was to provide health enlightenment and an educational campaign, along with an informative health summit to the public. This was also an opportunity for the community to experience the impact of Pastor Chris Oyakhilome’s foundation.

“The essence of this outreach, we tend to achieve, like in our ministry, we say giving your life a meaning, everybody’s life is worth living. Now, we know that it takes compassion to attend to people who are sick.

“The reason we are doing this is actually to help the people within the community and after administering medication to them, to also help in resuscitating them and rehabilitating them, and helping them to come back to church and build them up. For those who are out of jobs, we can also help them reorganize their future,” he said.

He thanked Pastor Oyakhilome for the opportunity and for enlisting him in the grace that God has given to him to reach out to people worldwide.

Offering advice to the public, he stressed that the first thing in society for anyone is to be alive and healthy, adding that “if people are sick, they have potentials but because they are sick, they are tied down. So, if we are able to reach out to them and help them, the society will be better off.”

On his part, Dr. Dominic Chukwu, the Medical Director and Founder of Eden Healing Foundation, stated that their major objective was to provide quality healthcare services and information to humanity.

“The impact we want to make is to reduce death rates in the world and increase life expectancy to an average of 75,” he said.

“The reason that made us partner with Christ Embassy is because Christ Embassy stands for the truth, and we needed a Foundation that cannot be compromised since this outreach has to do with the health and lives of people. Christ Embassy and Yes Global are the best to partner with,” he concluded.

One of the beneficiaries who gave his name as Williams Atu, expressed joy over the free medical outreach.

“It’s nice being here, I am very happy. I appreciate the good works. It is not easy to see such opportunity, and may God bless the source”, Atu said.
