LAGOS, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA) – A yet-to-be identified man has been made to do the trending ‘I am the thief’ challenge on social media after being beaten by people who apprehended him for allegedly stealing.

In a viral post on the X platform, formerly known as Twitter, the alleged thief was being compelled to do the challenge alongside the supposed person he stole from, well-wishers.

In the video, the accused, visibly in bad shape due to the beatings, was compelled to play his own part of the challenge, after every other person had taken turns to say their part.

People have however, taken to the platform to kick against their action while some showed contentment with the post.

Kicking against the post, @mukwise commented, “Say no to jungle justice.
