LAGOS, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA) – Josephine Otabor, widely known as Phyna, the winner of Big Brother Naija Season 7, has cried out over the influx of death threats directed towards her after social media spat with singer Davido.
The altercation between Phyna and Davido began when the singer liked a tweet that criticized the reality star.
Responding to the incident, Phyna promptly utilized her social media platform to express her perplexity, questioning the motives behind the targeted waves of animosity directed towards her.

Davido clarified that he was unaware of Phyna’s identity and attributed his reaction to an unintended error. This incident has resulted in a clear divide among their dedicated fan bases, as Davido’s supporters commend his dismissal of what they perceive as an attention-seeking manoeuvre by Phyna, while her fans vehemently criticize Davido for seemingly denying her well-deserved recognition as the winner of Big Brother Naija in 2022.
On Thursday, Phyna claimed she has been receiving numerous death threats following her social media brawl with Davido.
She pleaded not to be killed, stating that although she’s not an artiste, she is still a top figure in her field.
On her X handle, she wrote, “I keep getting death threats oh. I’m not an artiste, make una nor kill me oh. Everybody na 001 for e lane oh. God nor be man.”
