LAGOS, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA) – Former Tottenham star Harry Kane has confessed that it feels unusual to watch his former team’s rise to the top of the Premier League after his summer move to Bayern Munich.
Tottenham, under Ange Postecoglou, has had a remarkable start to the season, remaining unbeaten in the Premier League through eight games and securing the top spot just before the international break.
While Kane is pleased to see his old club doing well, he admitted that it’s still a bit odd to watch them on television.
He’s also adjusting to life at Allianz Arena and working on improving his German language skills.
“I was at Tottenham for a long time, and many of my friends are still there, including the coaches and staff, so sometimes it feels a bit strange,” Kane told reporters. But in football and life, when you embark on a new adventure, your focus shifts to that.

“I’m looking for a house, learning the language, getting to know my new team and staff at Bayern Munich.
“Your attention is simply redirected. Maybe initially, it was strange to watch them play without me.
“However, I have to concentrate all my efforts on Bayern Munich and making us as successful as possible. I’m here, excited, and it’s a decision I’ll never regret. I’m proud of the way I’ve started.”
Despite this transition, Kane has enjoyed a strong start to the new season, making history in the Bundesliga with a hat-trick against Bochum and scoring nine goals in his first ten matches for Bayern.
Currently, with the England squad for games against Australia and Italy, Kane will return to club action for Bayern Munich against Mainz on Saturday, 21 October.
