ENUGU, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA)- Authorities from the Lagos State Task Force have taken action to clear wares and temporary shelters belonging to street vendors along Ligali Ayorinde and Akin Adesola streets in Victoria Island.
The operation, conducted in the early hours of Tuesday, led to the apprehension of 18 individuals, as reported on X in a statement by the Lagos State Commissioner of Environment and Water Resources, Tokunbo Wahab.

Wahab tweeted, “As directed, the stretch of Ligali Ayorinde and Akin Adesola in Victoria Island was cleared of environmental infractions at midnight today.
“18 suspects were arrested, illegal wares removed, and temporary shelters were destroyed.”
