ENUGU, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA) – President Bola Tinubu has announced the appointment of a new team within the Media & Publicity Directorate of the Office of the President.
This appointment is aimed at bolstering his administration’s communication efforts.
These appointments reflect a commitment to Nigeria’s federal character principle and a dedication to meritocracy, as contained in a press release issued on Monday by Ajuri Ngelale, Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity.
The newly appointed members of the team are as follows:
Mr. Fela Durotoye – Senior Special Assistant to the President on National Values & Social Justice.
Mr. Fredrick Nwabufo – Senior Special Assistant to the President on Public Engagement.

Mrs. Linda Nwabuwa Akhigbe – Senior Special Assistant to the President on Strategic Communications.
Mr. Aliyu Audu – Special Assistant to the President on Public Affairs.
Mr. Francis Adah Abah – Personal Assistant to the President with Special Duties.
President Tinubu has also approved the secondment of Mrs Akhigbe to serve as the Communications Adviser to the President of the ECOWAS Commission.
According to the statement, the President has entrusted these individuals with the vital task of upholding the highest standards of decorum and decency in their interactions with the public.
Their duty is to advance the President’s vision for a restructured economy and a unified society that caters to the needs of all Nigerians, transcending any differences that may exist.
This announcement further signals a renewed commitment to effective communication and engagement with the Nigerians, as President Tinubu’s administration continues its efforts to bringing positive change.
