Lt.-Gen. Lagbaja emphasized that these new assets would not only enhance the Nigerian Army’s capabilities but also contribute to the success of joint and coalition operations.
Army aviation units, although separate from dedicated Air Forces, typically operate helicopters and light-support fixed-wing aircraft.
Expressing gratitude to the president for supporting the Nigerian Army’s aspiration for a well-equipped aviation unit, Lt.-Gen. Lagbaja cited the experiences of nations like the United States, Pakistan, Colombia, Egypt, Kenya, Ethiopia, and Uganda as valuable references in this regard.
