(VOICE OF NAIJA)- Numerous goods and property were devastated in a recent fire incident at the Ibis Royale Hotel’s lounge area in Ajao Estate, along Murtala Muhammed International Airport Road, Lagos.

The flames also engulfed a portion of the two-story structure before being brought under control by the diligent efforts of the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service.

This destructive fire commenced around 4 pm on Wednesday, reportedly originating from a bar within the hotel premises, and was attributed to a suspected power surge.

Jubril Gawat, the Senior Special Assistant on New Media to the state governor, confirmed that there were no reported injuries or fatalities resulting from the incident.
