LAGOS, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA)- Gunmen have abducted a man identified as Kayode Ajayi and his daughter along Afon Road, in Asa Local Government of Kwara State.
The victims were reportedly kidnapped while returning from the farm along Afon road.
In swift reaction, spokesman of the State Police Command, SP Okasanmi Ajayi, confirmed the incident on Monday night, disclosing that the daughter of the man had been rescued.

According to the spokesman, “efforts are rigorously in progress to get Mr Kayode Ajayi rescued, please.”
Recall that two persons who were kidnapped in Ago-Oja community of the said LGA some months ago were reportedly killed.
The victims, a nursing mother, Kehinde Ikeanabi Jibril and a student of the Kwara State Polytechnic, Ilorin, Babatunde Oriyomi, lost their lives after ransoms were paid.
While the nursing mother was killed and her body later found in the bush within the community, the student died in the hospital as a result of the injuries sustained in a bloody encounter with the armed kidnappers, even after N400,000 ransom was paid for their release.
