Mbah Marks 100 Days In Office With Ambitious Plans, Achievements

ENUGU, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA)- The Nigeria Union of Journalists NUJ Enugu State Council led by Comrade Sam Udekwe heartily Congratulates His Excellency, Peter Ndubuisi Mbah as he marks one hundred days in office as Governor of Enugu State.

Commending the Governor, he said, “We are pleased with your developmental agenda to provide good governance in the state and call for your strict focus in ensuring total implementation of same.”

In a statement released by the Secretary NUJ Enugu State Council, Dame Ifeoma Amuta on Wednesday, the union vowed to partner with the Governor Mbah-led administration toward the development of the state.

“As the Fourth Estate of the realm, we pledge to partner the state government to dutifully carry out our agenda setting and watchdog roles while ensuring quality coverage of government activities with every objectivity and development orientation.

“May Almighty God keep you and give you the wisdom and foresight to move Enugu State to a greater height”, he added. .

Meanwhile, In a recent state broadcast, Governor Mbah, celebrated his first 100 days in office as the Governor of Enugu State.

Reflecting on the journey since his inauguration, Mbah outlined a comprehensive plan for the state’s development and shared the notable achievements of his administration thus far.

With a vision akin to a marathoner, Governor Mbah expressed his unwavering commitment to the people of Enugu. His primary goal is to enhance the lives of every citizen and propel the state toward a brighter future.

One of the cornerstones of his administration is economic growth. Governor Mbah ambitiously aims to achieve a GDP of $30 billion within the next eight years while eradicating poverty.

In the first 100 days, substantial progress has been made in this direction, with a renewed focus on addressing insecurity, enhancing security presence, and implementing a statewide CCTV camera network for improved safety.

Governor Mbah also recognizes the critical role of energy supply in industrialization. He signed the Enugu State Power law into effect, opening the door for investment in power generation and distribution, a vital step toward sustainable economic growth.

The administration has actively engaged with investors, attracting key players from around the world to explore opportunities in Enugu State. Collaborations with development partners like the World Bank and AFD have paved the way for new funding and projects that will benefit the people of Enugu.

Efficiency in government operations has been a priority, with the automation of key functions and the promise of accelerated issuance of Certificates of Occupancy. Agriculture and education have not been overlooked, with initiatives such as the Enugu State Agricultural Land Bank and the refurbishment of schools and healthcare centers.

Governor Mbah also touched on environmental concerns, emphasizing the importance of waste management and the revitalization of Enugu State Waste Management Authority (ESWAMA), the state’s waste management agency.

Looking forward, the Governor hinted at the rapid progress to come, including increased water production, the development of a new city, extensive road construction, and investments in education and healthcare.

In conclusion, Governor Mbah’s first 100 days in office have set a promising tone for Enugu State’s future.

His dedication to the people, commitment to economic growth, and strategic partnerships with both private and public sectors signal a hopeful path ahead for the state. Enugu’s residents can anticipate continued progress and a brighter tomorrow under his leadership.
