LAGOS, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA) – Mason Greenwood, who recently joined Getafe on loan from Manchester United, expressed his happiness at being part of the Getafe team.
He was introduced to the home crowd for the first time during his unveiling.
The 21-year-old English international faced a challenging period earlier this year when he was suspended by Manchester United due to allegations made by his partner, Harriet Robson, including attempted rape and assault.
However, the case was later discontinued by the Crown Prosecution Service in February after his partner dropped the charges.

During an open training session in front of Getafe fans, Greenwood was cheered on by supporters and later officially presented alongside fellow new signings Diego Rico and Oscar Rodriguez. His partner, now the mother of his child, was there to support him.
Greenwood expressed his enthusiasm, saying, “I am very happy to be here. I have been training for four or five months, getting up to speed, and feeling good with my teammates.”
He is looking forward to taking things one step at a time and is focused on the upcoming home game in a few weeks.
Greenwood could make his debut for Getafe after the international break when they face Osasuna on 17 September.
