LAGOS, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA) – Manchester City’s prolific goal-scorer, Erling Haaland, has generously provided 175 boxes of football gear to children in his hometown in Norway.
Although he couldn’t be present in person, the gift packages were distributed to every football club in the Time municipality, where the striker grew up.

Each child received a package containing a football, a T-shirt, shorts, a football bag, and an Aquafigure drinking bottle—a brand endorsed and invested in by Haaland. These packages are valued at 1500 NOK (£111) each.
Haaland, at 23 years old, has picked up right where he left off last season, impressively scoring six goals in just four Premier League appearances, including a remarkable hat-trick against Fulham over the weekend.
Next on the horizon for the Norwegian star is representing his national team, Norway, as they prepare to face Jordan in a friendly match on September 7, followed by a crucial Euro 2024 qualifying game against Georgia on September 12.
