LAGOS, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA) – Manchester United winger Antony faces serious allegations of assault and abuse from his ex-girlfriend, Gabriela Cavallin, as she recently detailed in an interview with Brazilian website UOL.
According to Cavallin, Antony’s attacks spanned from June 2022 to May 2023, with disturbing incidents such as headbutting and causing severe hand injuries.
The most alarming incident occurred on 1 June, 2022, during her pregnancy while on vacation in Brazil.
Cavallin claimed Antony physically assaulted her and threatened to eject her from a moving vehicle, leaving her traumatized. Regrettably, she lost the pregnancy shortly after.
Another incident took place on 15 January, 2023, when Antony allegedly headbutted her and caused damage to her breast implant.
This attack reportedly resulted from an argument, and Antony later contended it was accidental.

The final incident, on 8 May, 2023, left Cavallin with a severe hand injury. She described feeling trapped in Antony’s house, with her finger wounded, and claimed that he locked her inside, damaged her belongings, and confiscated her passport.
Cavallin initiated legal proceedings against Antony in Sao Paulo, Brazil, in June 2023. She has also filed a complaint with Greater Manchester Police. Both the police and Manchester United have been contacted for their comments.
In response to the allegations, Antony released a statement on Instagram, denying any wrongdoing and expressing confidence that the truth would prevail after the investigation’s conclusion.
Antony, who transferred to Manchester United from Ajax for £85 million in August 2022, continues to play for the team and is part of the Brazil squad for upcoming World Cup qualifiers.
This case follows the recent decision by Manchester United to part ways with Mason Greenwood, who faced legal issues but had all charges dropped in February 2023.
