LAGOS, NIGERIA, (VOICE OF NAIJA) – The 16th edition of The Headies, an award ceremony that recognizes outstanding achievements in the Nigerian music industry, is set to be held at the Cobbs Energy Performing Arts Centre in Atlanta, United States.
The award event showcases more than 20 categories, which include Album of the Year, Artist of the Year, Song of the Year, and Rookie of the Year.
In a highly anticipated announcement made in July, the organizers of the award ceremony unveiled the much-anticipated list of nominees for each category. The list features a lineup of renowned Nigerian music stars, including industry heavyweights like Burna Boy, Rema, Tems, Asake, and Ayra Starr.
The event is set to be broadcasted live for viewers to enjoy on HipTV, which can be accessed through Channel 324 on DStv and Channel 74 on GOtv.
