LAGOS, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA)- A young man identified as Enoch Agbaube has killed his grandfather, John Agbaube, over alleged witchcraft in Cross River State.
The incident occurred on 19 August, at Utanga community in Obanliku Local Government Area of the State.
The suspect allegedly hacked his grandfather to death with a machete, almost beheading him, while he was sitting on his chair outside his house.

A lawyer, Barr. Paul Idiga, who made the disclosure via social media, said Enoch accused his grandfather of being a wizard and the one behind his misfortunes.
“He accused his grandpa of witchcraft. He said his grandpa is responsible for all his woes and lack of progress,” Idiga said.
Meanwhile, a member of the community, Anungo Felix Ishel, who confirmed the development, said the suspect has been arrested in Benue State where he fled after committing the crime.
