LAGOS, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA)- Bandits have kidnapped six persons including a 20-year-old nursing mother from communities in Ningi and Toro Local Government Areas of Bauchi State.
The Chairman of Ningi LGA, Hon Ibrahim Zubairu, who confirmed the incidents, said that on receiving the report, he immediately mobilized the security personnel to the affected communities.
He said that the Local Government authorities are doing its best towards arresting the insecurity issues affecting the peace and tranquility of the area.

Zubairu said that they are recording a great success in the fight against insecurity whereby before the recent attacks, communities within the LGA live in harmony for 16 days without any report of kidnapping activities.
He however pointed out that this was informed by the concerted efforts by the State Governor, Sen Bala Abdulkadir Muhammad, to ensure that the lives and property of the common man are fully protected.
In a similar development, gunmen suspected to be bandits kidnapped two persons, Alhaji Babangida, aka Dan Rimin Wunti, and Alhaji Saleh Jange in Gumau town, Toro Local Government Area of the State on Saturday night, 19 August.
The Member representing Toro Federal Constituency, Dabo Ismail Haruna, who confirmed the abduction in a statement on Sunday, sympathized with the victims and prayed for their safe return.

“I received with deep shock the kidnapping of Alhaji Babangida ( Dan Rimin Wunti) and Alhaji Saleh Jange by bandits in Gumau yesterday night,” he said.
“It is unfortunate and condemnable. I call for urgent stakeholders concerns and government actions to bring this unholy and evil act by these dreaded kingpins
“As Member Representing Toro Federal Constituency, I am reaching out to relevant authorities to ensure that the lives and properties of our constituents are protected
“I call on His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Bauchi State, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed CON (Kauran Bauchi) to urgently order the deployment of more Security agencies in Toro Local Government Area that has become the centre of the heat.
“On a sad note, I pray for the safe return of the affected victims while calling for calm as all necessary steps are being taken towards to avoid the repeat of this in the future.”
