LAGOS, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA) – George Finidi has counseled Nigerian footballers to invest more in real estate when they stop playing the game to avoid financial hardship when their playing days are over.
The ex-Ajax winger and former Enyimba coach issued a caution against athletes funding ventures they are unfamiliar with.

“My best advice for active players now is to invest in property because it’s the best way to secure their money as the value appreciates and they will have something to fall back on,” Finidi said.
“If they invest in businesses that they are not sure of, they will have problems.”
After George Finidi was named Enyimba FC’s head coach in September 2021, the Elephants won the Nigerian Professional Football League for the eighth time in May 2023.
