LAGOS, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA)- A native doctor popularly referred to as Nze Law, and his domestic workers have reportedly beaten one of his house helps to death in Mbaitoli Local Government Area of Imo State.
The culprits reportedly beat the help to death for allegedly taking meat without the herbalist’s permission.
It was gathered that the incident which reportedly took place on 6 August, led the youths of Amandugba community in the Isu Local Government Area– where the deceased teenager hails from, to go on rampage in nearby Amankwo village, in Mbaitoli LGA, where the incident took place.

According to Sources, the native doctor after killing the deceased, ensured that his corpse was buried in a nearby bush without the knowledge of the relatives of the deceased.
It was further learnt that the deceased simply known as Sunny was beaten to death by the native doctor and his other domestic helps for allegedly eating a piece of meat kept by the native doctor without his principal’s consent.
“The deceased was subjected to general beating by the native doctor and his domestic servants because he ate a piece of roasted meat without the consent of his principal,” a source disclosed to journalists.
One of the residents in the community said, “They beat him up until he gave up the ghost and was buried in a nearby bush without even contacting his family.

“So, when the information got to his people in Amandugba, a neighbouring community to Ogwa, the youth of the community felt bad, mobilised themselves and stormed the home of the native doctor at Amankwo to avenge the death of one of them.
“But luckily for Nze Law, he had already got the information of the plan to invade his house and fled before their arrival.
“So, by the time the youths arrived at Nze Law’s house, some policemen also showed up and stopped them from carrying out whatever plan they had against Nze Law.”
Upon contact, Spokesperson for Imo State Police command, Henry Okoye, stated that he is yet to receive the details but promised to give an update of the information as soon as it was available.
