LAGOS, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA) –You may long for the previous blue bird logo when our Twitter applications undergo an update to “X.”
It brings to mind a time when Twitter had its problems, but at least Elon Musk did not control the company at that time.
With the help of the iOS shortcuts app, we may deceive ourselves into thinking that a different short-sighted billionaire, not this one, is still in charge of Twitter. Fortunately for us!
This is how to convert your X symbol back to Twitter once more:
Go to the Shortcuts application on your iPhone. If you have an iPhone that is more recent, it should already come pre-installed; otherwise, you may locate it in the App Store.
You can proceed as long as your iPhone is running iOS 12.0 or a later version.
You’ll tap “All Shortcuts” on the Shortcuts app’s primary Shortcuts panel, as you would have predicted.
Then, click the blue + symbol to create a new Shortcut in the top-right corner of your screen.
There are a lot of things that can be done using shortcuts, but we’ll keep it straightforward for now. To create your own shortcut, you should see the suggested action “Open App“. Click that.
After choosing the “X” app, click the share button in the bottom navigation bar of your screen. By doing so, a new menu will appear from which you may choose “Add to Home Screen.”

Finally, this is where you may change the Shortcut’s name and icon. Enter “Twitter” in place of “Open App.” Then, hit the little Shortcut symbol next to where you wrote “Twitter” to continue.
You may submit a picture of the Twitter logo here. However, unless you fall into a very particular category, it’s unlikely that you already have that stored on your phone. Do a simple Google search for “Twitter icon.” You’ll come across one quite fast; we made advantage of this one.
There you have it, then! Now that Elon Musk has changed Twitter’s name to X and the Twitter symbol doesn’t resemble a porn app (which wouldn’t even be accepted on the App Store! ), you may convince yourself that we are in a little less cursed era.
Thank you all.
