LAGOS, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA)- Former Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Godwin Emefiele, has been granted a N20 million bail.
Recall that Voiceofnaija.ng earlier reported that Emefiele, Suspended Governor of CBN, pleaded not guilty before a Federal High Court sitting in Lagos on illegal possession of firearms brought against him by the Ministry of Justice.
The bail condition includes producing a suretee with landed property within the jurisdiction of the court in Ikoyi, Lagos, depositing his passport and also producing a Civil servant not below level 16 to perfect bail.

Emefiele was docked and charged before Justice Nicholas Oweibo sitting at the Federal High Court, Lagos, earlier today.
The ministry of justice is prosecuting him on charges of possessing a single-barrelled shotgun (JOJEFF MAGNUM 8371) without a licence.
He is also accused of illegally being in possession of 23 rounds of live ammunition (cartridges) without a licence.
The defendant allegedly committed the offences on 15 June, at Ikoyi area of Lagos.
