LAGOS, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA) – Romelu Lukaku, who has been linked to Juventus, has come under fire from a group of Inter ‘ultra’ fans in a statement.
Following the revelation that the striker was in talks to join Serie A rivals Juventus, the Curva Nord group, a group of Inter supporters, attacked the player on Instagram.
After spending a season on loan at Inter, the striker, who is under contract with Chelsea, is virtually certainly going to leave this summer.
“We will never see you again from now on Lukaku,” said the ultras. “You have betrayed us all. We’ve always stood up for you in tough times, now you’re stabbing us in the back.
“You sell yourself to the highest bidder after kissing our badge as a cheap mercenary. Before you can be a champion you have to be a man and you’re not one.”

Lukaku made his Inter debut in 2019 after leaving Manchester United for a then-club-record £75 million ($98 million) fee, and he had two fantastic seasons that led to a 2021 contract extension with Chelsea.
However, after a chequered tenure after that 2021 transfer, the Belgian was subsequently loaned back to San Siro for the 2022–23 season.
Now that he is trying to restart his career this summer, the 30-year-old’s most likely destination is Juventus. Some Juve supporters, though, are not in favor of the proposed change.
