Big Brother Naija ex-housemate, Leo Da Silva has reacted to the controversy surrounding the ‘fake UTME result’ of Anambra student, Mmesoma Ejikeme.

Voiceofnaija.ng had reported that JAMB claimed Ejikeme forged the score, adding that it stopped using the print-out currently being paraded by the student as her authentic result in 2021.

JAMB said it was constrained to set the records straight and wished to state unequivocally that many of the results which many of these candidates were parading were fake.

In a statement released on Tuesday morning by the Board’s spokesman, Fabian Benjamin, JAMB insisted that only Mmesoma paraded the “obsolete” notification slip out of all the candidates that sat the 2023 UTME.

“Consequently, the Board would like to reassure Nigerians that its system was neither tampered with nor compromised as the candidate simply falsified a copy of a result slip of a candidate named “Asimiyu Mariam Omobolanle,” who sat the UTME in 2021 and scored 138.”

Reacting to the controversy, Leo criticized the examination board for involving the Department of State Services, DSS.

He said: “In this entire JAMB saga, what stood out most for me is the DSS getting involved.
If the Nigerian Police can’t be trusted with something as simple as this investigation by the Nigerian Government that pays them, then we are in real trouble as citizens who rely on them for safety.”

His tweet has garnered reactions from some Nigerians.

A tweep @MuphyK said: “We dont have Police in Nigeria, what we have is agent of missions.”

Another tweep @Omotayo_dolex said: “Really so many things confusing about this country nowadays. Was shocked last night on my way driving home from work, right at CAPPA bus stop (approaching Oshodi) I found some armed men with NDLEA on main road randomly stopping vehicle. NDLEA stop & search??”

“Na for DSS to wash pants remain cos their fall off has been immense.

“Some day we’ll hear them arrest someone for shitting in the farm Okoto police,” @Aarie1 commented.
