LAGOS, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA)- A Nigerian man, Cyrus Agbo, has apologized to all the women he dated before he went for therapy and healed emotionally.
Agbo further revealed that he blames childhood trauma for his detachment with his past girlfriends, adding that he had undergone therapy and in his healing stage.
In the apology tendered via Twitter on 3 July, Agbo revealed he had personally reached out to some of the women.
“I apologize to every woman that dated me before I went to therapy last year & healed emotionally. I honestly didn’t know I had childhood trauma that made me as detached as I became each time. I’m so sorry. I didn’t know better. I’m clear now. I’m whole now. I pray you are too,” he tweeted.

“To everyone asking, I’ve reached out to the ones I could. I’m not seeking attention here, I literally just tweeted my thoughts because I had a moment today that made me remember my journey & I was thankful for how far I’ve come. If you still feel the need to be negative, enjoy.”
Reacting, some tweeps took to the comments section to condemn the post as others gave words of encouragement.
Kicking against the post, @Ugo_KelechiPhD said: “Not sure this was necessary, Bro. I’m trying to critically analyse the need & the expected tangible outcome. Can’t find any. I’m sure the women you’ve dated are not in their millions, you could have easily called them, apologised & that’s that. Social media didn’t need to know.”
Commenting in contrast, @NwaAdeline said, “I’m glad you are better. To settle this matter amicably, you have to date all of them back. Even if it’s 2 weeks per person so they get to enjoy the new you 😂😂
@Isaiahvee added: “Same here, it took me about two years to fully understand how I hurt my first girlfriend after working on attachment wounds and other insecurities.
“I apologized to her too. I’ve learnt secure attachments and that’s the kind of relationships I desire and work for henceforth 🙏🏾”
