LAGOS, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA) – An image has surfaced on the social media of what appears like Abia State Governor, Alex Otti’s office, in which the official portrait of the Nigerian President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, was missing on the wall.
In the image, the Governor’s portrait was hanging on the wall on the right, but the left side, where the President’s image was expected to have been hung, was left empty.
Recall that Otti won the election to become Governor on the platform of the Labour Party, making him the only LP Governor in Nigeria.
He had also once called Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party in the 2023 election, ‘his President’, a situation which many believe may have necessitated the seeming absence of President Tinubu’s portrait on the wall.
The picture posted on Twitter by a user with the handle @DavidsOffor alongside a post, read: “Abia State Governor, Alex Otti @alexottiofr not having President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s portrait in his office????
“The same Gov that called Peter Obi “My President” in one of his tweets even after the Presidential election!!!”
As at the time of posting this article, voiceofnaija.ng could categorically confirm if the office where the image was hung was that of the Governor or another office.

Some Nigerians have since reacted to the post by the Twitter user, and offered their thoughts on the refusal of Otti to hang Tinubu’s portrait on the wall in his office.
Reacting to the tweet, some tweeps took to the comment session to express concern and doubt.
@ahyorflexy expressed doubt about the said Governor’s office. He said, “But i saw a frame of the President in his official office, maybe this isnt one of his office, but lets see how it goes.
Another tweep,@FemiOderanti said, “It is a matter of time, he will surely mount 100 inches Tinubu frame in his office. That is when Obi is not coming again.✅.”
@iamegbuna added: “Oga go court nah. Shey una get every judge for una pocket. Run go court, abeg no disturb our peace!!!”
