The Director General of the World Trade Organisation (WTO), Dr Ngozi Okonjo Iweala, has been trending on social media space on Saturday, over some images she shared on her Twitter handle of the ongoing Paris Summit in France.

Nigeria’s President Bola Ahmed Tinubu was conspicuously missing in the first and second set of photos she uploaded on her Twitter handle last night.

She appeared with some of the World Leaders including president of the European Central Bank, Christine Lagarde, former minister of Finance for Australia, Mathias Cormann, Brazil President, Lula Dasilva, Senegal President, Macky Sall, South Africa President, Cyril Ramaphosa, and many others.

This omission sparked controversy and led to speculations about a potential rift between Okonjo-Iweala and the Tinubu presidency.

On Saturday morning, Tinubu and APC supporters blew hot over the enormous omission, making the DG WTO one of the top trends on Nigerian cyberspace.

A tweep @ubig1 said: “Where is Tinubu, aka Bulaba? 🤔🤔”

@GoldAbon tweeted: “Without the approval of the federal govt !!! She can’t do nothing.”

“Igbo people don’t know how to hide their hatred and sentiment. This is a proof from madam WTO,” @adeklinsmann reacted.

@slickrule also commented: “I think in @NOIweala defence, Amoda Ogunlere was nowhere to be found during photo ops. Maybe she was asked to snap with the Presidents who spoke and represented Africa not the ones sleeping.”

@191introvert on his part commented: “Some people dy hawk their principal like corn and nobody wan buy e con be like say na by force to snap picture 😂😂🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️ Ride on mama. God bless you ❤️💐”

“It will be an unwise and arrogant decision ma if you posted all the pictures of you with another country’s leaders without posting that of your country. Whether you like or not Tinubu is the president of Nigeria.

“We are watching you ma,” @realtor_richi wrote.

Okonjo-Iweala later uploaded photographs she appeared with Tinubu and other set of leaders at the summit.

She tweeted: “More images from the Paris Summi #NewGlobalFinancingPact. With HE President Ali Bongo @PresidentABO, HE President Bola Ahmed Tinubu @officialABAT, HE President @WilliamsRuto and African Business moguls @Mo_IbrahimFdn @TonyOElumelu“

Reacting to the new photos, a tweep @OmegaXDreams said, “APC supporters can breathe now!!! 😂🤯

“She has the biggest personality out of Nigeria 🇳🇬 She is highly respected & accepted Globally!!! 💯 Pls Take that to bank & CAST OUT!!! 👌🏾”

@UnkleAyo described the latest batch of photos she shared as OAU (a Nigerian university) supplementary list.

“Lmaooooo. Not the OAU supplementary list. 💀”

@marvelnze shared the same photo of Okonjo Iweala shaking Tinubu’s hand and said: “Tinubu be like…chia NGO, thank you for this handshake..You no go understand.”

@siresommy commented, “Them go find validation tire, dem no go see.” “This woman na LEGEND. See as she dey play all of una.

“Well, stop insulting people because of politicians. Politicians don’t 8 each other,” @iamabiodunaa also weighed in.
