LAGOS, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA)- Ekiti chef, Damilola Adeperusi, popularly known as Chef Dami has revealed that she accepted the nomination from her church to undergo her recently concluded 120-hour cook-a-thon record.
Chef Dammy, in an interview with Vanguard, disclosed that the 120 cook-athon she engaged in was a collective plan by her and church members.
Speaking further on the selection of Chef Dammy for the cook-athon, Adegoke Jeremiah, Chef Dammy’s church pastor, revealed that Dammy was selected after she met the criteria of the 120-hours cook-athon, based on her good performance during a 40-hour cook-athon held the previous week.

“We held a 40-hour cookathon with several chefs, including Dammy. Afterward, we sat together and thought, if we can do this, we can achieve something bigger and Dammy was the right candidate because she was energetic and Joshua was chosen as her assistant.”
“We put all hands on deck and resources together to push her, and we are happy she has gotten to the point,” Jeremiah said.
Speaking further on the Cookathon, Dammy noted that no videos whatsoever, had been sent to Guiness Book of Records (GWR), indicating that she has plans to embark on more cook-athons and submit videos if an opportunity avails itself.
