ENUGU, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA) – The immediate past Governor of Benue State, Samuel Ortom has been taken into the custody of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
The former Governor was invited for questioning by the anti-graft agency for alleged misappropriation of funds.
His arrest is coming a month after leaving office.
The ex-Benue Governor arrived at the Abuja office of the EFCC on Tuesday morning and was sighted walking into the building of the anti-graft agency.

The latest development may have sent a shivers down the spine of other G5 Governors who worked against the candidacy of Alhaji Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
But at the moment, only Ortom, of the G5 Governors fame, has been invited for questioning by the anti-graft agency.
Meanwhile, Benue State is said to have a debt profile of N187.7 billion.
