LAGOS, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA) – Arsenal has revised its bid and given them £60 million for Chelsea’s Kai Havertz with a long-term contract at a minimum of £210,000 per week will be made available.
After Chelsea rejected Arsenal’s initial offer of roughly £50 million last week, the current contract is reportedly worth a guaranteed £55 million plus an additional £5 million in bonuses.
In order to agree on a price for the German international, Arsenal and Chelsea have continued their negotiations. The conversations heated up over the weekend, and a new verbal offer has since been made.
Arsenal wants to close a transaction fast and has a comprehensive understanding of the personal terms in place.
A long-term contract at a minimum of £210,000 per week will be made available to Havertz. Chelsea now needs to agree to sell Havertz for £60 million despite his asking price of between £70 and £75 million.

According to rumors, Arsenal believes that Havertz’s versatility makes him a must-win target for the team.
Havertz joined Chelsea in 2020 and has started every game for the last five times the struggling West London club has changed managers.
However, Havertz is thought to be focused on getting a transfer, despite the Blues actively looking to extend the player’s current contract to keep him at Stamford Bridge until 2025.
