LAGOS, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA)-Arsenal have made their initial offer to Chelsea to get Kai Havertz, who they are interested in signing.
In light of a report from Fabrizio Romano that Real Madrid have cooled their interest in acquiring Havertz, The Guardian claims that Arsenal have emerged as one of the front-runners to sign the Chelsea player.
He was earmarked by Real as a possible Karim Benzema successor before the player left for Al-Ittihad in Saudi Arabia, but that move now seems improbable.
According to that source, after signing him for £62.5 million ($79 million) in 2020, the Blues might be persuaded to negotiate a deal for roughly £70 million ($89 million).

The Athletic reports that the Gunners have already made their first offer for Havertz and are negotiating a contract to sign him.
They are rumored to have already spoken with the representatives of both the Germany international and its London opponents.
Despite Real’s hesitation to finalize a deal, Bayern Munich are also interested in Havertz, so the Gunners do not have a clear advantage over them in their pursuit of him.
Havertz could still stay at Chelsea, but the team want to make some cuts to their roster this summer.
