LAGOS, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA) – A 20-year-old man, Babangida Isah, has been paraded by the State Police Command for allegedly defiling a five-year-old girl in Tike Quarters, Bajoga, Funakaye Local Government Area of Gombe State.
The State Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Mahid Abubakar, said the victim’s father, Yahaya Isah, reported to the police how the suspect lured his daughter behind an Almajiri school and raped her.
Abubakar said, “On receipt of the complaint, the suspect, Isah, was arrested and he voluntarily confessed to the crime.

“Both the suspect and the victim were taken to a hospital for medical examination. The case will soon be taken to court.”
While warning pedophilia who derived pleasure in defiling minors, Abubakar said the command would continue to prosecute criminals in the state.
“The Commissioner of Police, Oqua Etim, commends the effort of the detectives attached to the Bajoga division who were involved in the investigation for their swift action and dedication to duty.
“He assures the public of the command’s readiness to ensure the safety and security of all citizens. They are to report any suspicious activities and cooperate with the police in their efforts to maintain peace and order in the community,” the Police spokesman added.
