IBADAN, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA) – Nigeria’s President Bola Tinubu, on Friday, met with traditional rulers and their representatives from across the country at the State House Conference Centre in Abuja.
This is coming after the President met with members of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum, an assembly of the 36 State Governors, at the Presidential Villa on Wednesday.
Present at the meeting were Vice President Kashim Shettima; the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Senator George Akume; the State House Permanent Secretary, Tijjani Umar; Emir of Kano, Obi of Onitsha, Tor Tiv, Etsu Nupe, Deji of Akure, Shehu of Borno, Elegushi of Ikate, Jaja of Opobo, Lamido of Adamawa, Emir of Zazzau, Gbong Gwom Jos, Attah Igala, Alake of Egbaland, Shehu of Borno and a representative of the Oba of Benin.

Photos from the meeting was posted on Tinubu’s Twitter handle, alongside a caption: “I enjoyed my engagement, this morning, with a gathering of traditional rulers from across the country.”
“In the course of our dialogue, I asked them with supporting the administration’s efforts to ensure lasting peace and unity by promoting responsible behaviour and patriotism.
“I also gave assurance of government’s support as they continue in their role as powerful custodians of our unique cultural values.”
Tweeps have reacted to the post with many hailing the President for taking a right step in uniting Nigeria.

Ada Anambra hailed Tinubu by calling him ‘Idan’.
